On October 1, 2026, IRCC invited 3,500 Express Entry candidates under the Trades Occupations category at a minimum CRS of 476.
The previous Trades round (April 2, 2026) was 3,000 ITAs at CRS 477.
What this means for applicants?
IRCC is still running category-specific Trades draws, not only high CEC rounds.
A score in the mid/high 400s can matter if you meet Trades category rules.
It does not guarantee the next cut-off will be 476, or that every tradesperson at 476 gets an ITA.
What to check before you rely on this number
Are you eligible for CEC, FSWP, or FSTP (so you can be in the pool)?
Do your duties match an occupation on IRCC’s current Trades list?
Do you have the required amount and timing of experience?
Could French, another category, or a PNP be a stronger route?
Working in something people call a “trade” is not the same as meeting the category.
