About Us
Immigration is not only about submitting applications. It is about understanding how decisions are made, how systems operate, and how individual circumstances are evaluated within them.
At Mapleaves Immigration Services, the focus is on providing structured, evidence-based guidance to help individuals navigate complex and uncertain situations with clarity.
Clarity in Complex Immigration Decisions

About Mapleaves Immigration Services
Many challenges in immigration are not procedural, but strategic. They arise from gaps between policy frameworks and real-world circumstances—where eligibility is not always straightforward, and outcomes depend on how different factors are assessed and documented. Mapleaves Immigration was established to address this gap.
Our approach focuses on:
identifying realistic pathways based on current policies
assessing risks, constraints, and limitations
translating complex rules into practical direction
supporting informed decision-making before action is taken
Rather than focusing solely on application processes, we emphasize clarity at the decision stage where the direction of a case is determined.
Direct access to the RCIC handling your file
Personalized review based on your circumstances
Strategic assessment of risks and options
Careful review of supporting documentation
Clear communication throughout the engagement

What We Do
We provide two types of support, depending on the nature of your situation:
Strategy Assessment
For individuals seeking clarity regarding eligibility, options, risks, or long-term immigration planning. This involves structured evaluation and guidance to determine realistic options, risks, and next steps before taking action.
Application Support
For individuals who have identified an appropriate pathway and require professional assistance in preparing and submitting an application. This includes structured support to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with current requirements.
Who We Work With
Our services are designed for individuals who:
are navigating uncertainty in their immigration pathway
are facing constraints such as timing, location, or eligibility
require clarity before taking action
prefer a structured and informed approach to decision-making
Immigration decisions often have long-term consequences. Our role is not only to assist with applications, but to help clients understand risks, evaluate options, and make informed decisions before moving forward.
About the Consultant (RCIC)
Mapleaves Immigration is led by Hui (Heidi) Yang, a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) with more than 10 years of experience supporting applicants through Canadian immigration matters. Every matter is reviewed and assessed directly by the RCIC responsible for the engagement.
Her work focuses on helping individuals navigate complex and uncertain immigration situations where clear pathways are not always immediately visible. Over the course of her practice, she has worked with a wide range of cases and developed a strong understanding of how immigration policies operate in real-world contexts.
We do not provide guarantees of outcome.
Our role is to help you understand your options, assess risks, and make informed decisions based on your specific circumstances.
Professional Approach

In addition to her immigration practice, her background includes interdisciplinary work in community-based research, policy analysis, and knowledge equity initiatives exploring how institutional systems affect access and decision-making.
Her approach emphasizes clarity, structure, and informed decision-making, helping clients understand not only what options may exist, but how different factors, including policy priorities, timing, regional systems, and long-term positioning, interact in practice. She takes a structured and analytical approach to help clients navigate increasingly complex immigration pathways.
She brings a multilingual and cross-cultural perspective to immigration matters, with services available in English, Mandarin, and French.
Her recent articles and policy insights further explore how evolving immigration trends and system changes may affect individual situations.
